CrossTimbers Riding Area

OFF-ROAD VEHICLE RULES 

  1. A permit is required for all riders and passengers.

  2. Persons over 18 must have a current, valid driver’s license in their possession.

  3. Persons under 16 must be under the supervision of a parent or guardian.

  4. All ORV drivers and riders must wear a protective helmet, eyewear and footwear.

  5. ORV riding is permitted only during daylight hours and only on established trials.

  6. No person shall operate an ORV while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.  No alcohol or drugs allowed on these premises, including the parking area and campground.

  7. Only two and four wheel vehicles not exceeding 54 inches in width allowed.  NO THREE WHEEL VEHICLES ALLOWED.

  8. Riding in the parking or camping area is prohibited.

  9. All ORV's must be equipped with an effective a securely attached muffler.

  10. Four wheel ORV's are limited as follows:

·        50cc motor requires an operator to be 6 years of age or older

·        125cc motor requires an operator to be 12 years of age or older

·        250cc motor requires an operator to be 16 years of age or older 

  1. Operators of two wheel ORV's with a motor greater of 250cc must possess a valid driver’s license.

  2. Riders and visitors shall obey all laws and eh orders of any police officer or other authorized personnel.

  3. All riders shall present their ORV permit for inspection by authorized personnel at any time.

  4. No glass containers are allowed.

  5. A separate camping permit is required to use or access the campground area.
